This survey is being used by Calgary Housing Company to develop a Request for Proposal [RFP].
The themes derived from the survey will also provide East Village Neighbourhood Association a broad overview from our Community.
In October, EV-NA will be holding a Townhall meeting to broaden discussions.
On June 30, 2016, Calgary Housing Company became the new owner of East Village Place
(750 - 5th St. S.E.).
East Village Place refers to both the 163 apartments and the approximate 23,000 square feet of community space on the first two floors.
The intent of the Calgary Housing Company and The City of Calgary is to develop the first two floors of the building for community use. As part of the plan’s development, The City would like to collaborate with local residents to hear their ideas on how they’d like to see that space used.
We’re looking for your ideas on how to bring the community space at
East Village Place to life. We want to create a space for you to meet your neighbours, make new friends and participate in local events and activities.
Those interested can also contact Alain Dupere
for updates and details on engagement opportunities.

How will my ideas be used by The City of Calgary?
The ideas you have shared over the summer will be put together with your neighbours’ ideas and The City will assess whether any themes emerge. These themes will then be used to create a Request for Proposals (RFP).
A Request for Proposals is a process where Calgary Housing Company invites interested organizations to outline how they would like to use the space to meet the community’s needs. Your input, along with other criteria (e.g. financial feasibility) becomes the basis for evaluating these proposals
